Difference between ESXi server and VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi)

Hello,

Is there a difference between ESXi Server and VMware vShphere Hypervisor (ESXi)

OR

Are these 2 names for the same item?

It's only the name, the binaries are the same. The only difference are the features which are locked or unlocked depending on the license key you enter.

Its basically the same thing - the licensing levels are what determine the feature sets. VMware vSphere Hypervisor is the "free" version that is limited to 32GB RAM in the host, where vSphere 5 would include any of the the licensed packages.
