Dell GX620 Purple Screen with ESX 4.1

hi,

I got in one Dell box Otiplex GX620 with 4 gbs Ram and 2 hard disk ESX 4.1 and suddenly I start experiencing crashes (purple screen), sometimes 3 seconds after starting the boot up process, and others when the system already up but I am connecting to any of the VMs.

It is always coming with some "PCPU0 6096/console" between other error lines.

Anybody got a similar old system and is having a similar issue ? or maybe anybody knows how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks very much

Download the memtest disk and test the RAM. http://memtest.org/#downiso Let it run overnight or longer.

Purple screen errors are generally hardware related. Use any diagnostic disk you may have. Run memtest.

I think it might be a memory issue yes.

I got some issues 2 months ago, but after re-inserting all the memory modules all started working again and it passed the memory test.

But maybe the issue got back what it is a bit concerning.

In the end, memory replaced and that was the fix.
