    Hi,

I have a SAN attached to our ESX Server. I wish to remove one of the RDMs within a Datastore in ESX. My question is... If I 'delete from disk' does this only remove the RDM or will it delete the data from the SAN? I thought it was only a pointer to the SAN and therefore won't delete any data by 'deleting from disk'? I just need to double check as don't want to risk losing data.

Delete from disk only delete the proxy vmdk file.

Your data on the LUN are still present and you can re-create a RDM disk.
