Default Critical Host Baselines

Hello,

Is it safe or advisable to edit the Critical Host Patch baseline to exclude all 3.x patches seeing that I am running ESX 4.1?

I don't see why it would be an issue at all as long as your not using any 3.x clients. Is there a particular reason why you want to exclude them?

I just found that the Default Baselines can't be altered per the VUM 4.1 documentation. So I will just leave them alone and create my own for ESX 4.x patches.

Yep, that's what I did. Just created a new basline for 4.x for critical esx updates from vmware. I also unchecked the MS / Linux updates as we aren't really using that in VUM.
