We have the need to deploy 3 vms to remote sites. There will eventually be dozens of remote sites and so we need to streamline and standardize the deployment. I have experience with physical server imaging and scripting but I am wondering what the best way to accomplish my customizations in vsphere/vcenter. One of the servers is a domain controller. I envision 3 OVA or OVF's
1) Application
2) Database
3) Domain Controller
Each one will need to have custom Host Names, IP addresses, DNS servers, gateways and a few application settings in INI files. I need the systems to get added to our domain, and I also need to run a .bat or a .PS1 file on bootup.
I've read about OVF runtime environment consumizations but I can't seem to find a way to join a domain or set application settings.
Any advice would be useful,
