Creating Datastore in mirrored hard drives?

I have a Hp Proliant ML150 G6 server and i installed ESXI 5.0 . I have mirror hard drives 465 Gb ,and i want to  create the same datastore in both hard drives. I want to do that because if one of hard drives fail, i have the information to the other drive.

Then you need to set up a hardware RAID1. It has nothing to do with VMware.

Which RAID Controller do you have in the system? The Entry models are shipped with the B110i software RAID controller, which is not supported by ESXi. Other models (Base, Performance) come with the P410 controller which is supported, but make sure it has BBWC (battery backed write cache) for  good disk performance.

If you want a P41x controller, you need to purchase this separately. Please take a look at to http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13249_na/13249_na.pdf find available/supported models. If you are going to purchase one of the RAID controllers, I highly recommend you use one with BBWC (or even better FBWC).
