Copy to ESXi 4.1 datastore is s-l-o-w!

Brand new VMware deployment - Dell R710 ESX servers w 48GB, EqualLogic 8TB SAN, new Dell r610 VC, Cisco 3560 switches.  Everything screams. Except copying ISOs to the SAN.   Using the datastore browser OR using FastSCP, it painfully slow.  A Win2008R2 ISO copy projects to take about 3 weeks to copy a 2.2GB file.  HELP.

How is your network configured?  What does SanHQ show under retransmits?

SCP or similar operation are really slow... but not so much.

You say 8TB, do you mean SATA disks? Maybe in RAID5?

Have you tested storage speed from a VM?

As written in the previous post, have you check IOPS with SAN HQ?
