Converting RDM to thin vmdk: can I interrupt the command when vmdk stops growing?

Hi,

working in ESX 4.1 cli, I'm converting a 1TB virtual rdm to a thin vmdk (vmkfstools -i <path to rdm> -d thin <path to vmdk)

I know that only 120GB of data are used inside the RDM: now the command is at 55% (after 4 hours) and I see in the datastore browser that the fdestination vmdk is not growing anymore: may I safely interrupt the command (crtl-c) and safely use the new thin vmdk?

Thanks

Guido

I suggest to do not stop the process.

Unless you are 100% sure that all the data are in the first part of the RDM disk.
