Hey guys,
I have a new installed ESXi4 which works fine. I was
able to move images using the converter there without problems, until I
changed something on the server itself:
I created a resource pool
and a user that has access to the resource pool only. No access on the
server node to prevent users from changing the configuration of the
server. When starting the converter and login in to the ESXi4 server
with the limited user, the converter server crashes immediatly when it
tries to load the inventory table.
I guess the user that converts
an Image needs access to the server node. This is bad. Our users need
to be able to put new images to their resource pool, but they have to
be limited not to be able to change server config.
Any ideas?
