Hello,

I want to migrate from ESX 3.5 to vSphere 4.1. Do I need to convert a virtual machines or I can just copy them?

Sorry for my bad English.

ESXi 4.x supports hardware version 4 VMs so you can run the VMs hosted on your 3.5 system without changes.  It's a good idea to update VMware Tools after you migrate the VM and if you want to take advantage of 4.1 feature you can update the virtual machine hardware (to version 7) after you've migrated them.  You can run  version 7 VMs on ESX 3.5.
