Good Morning,
Been having a random issue across ALL by ESXi hosts (14 total). Randomly when any of our 2008 or W7 VM's apply windows updates every once in a while one of them will all of a sudden gain an issue where they constant reboot and once come all the way up. The only way to bring them up is to disable Driver Signature Enforcement at boot each time. The issue never goes away on the effected machine, it seems to always be caused by a Windows Update. However its not the same update as this issue started about a year ago on one VM.. and then a few months later on a different host after updates the same thing happened.. then a few months later on a different host the same thing.. and so on. Not all vm's are effected just randomly one will decide to break.
Any thoughts? I could just disable signature enforcement on all vm's permanently.. but I'd like to figure out whats unsigning the drivers.
This is ONLY happening on VM's. All standalone 2008 & W7 machines never had experienced this issue.
When looking at the unsigned drivers in the guest OS it goes from none before the update to like 20+ after the updates.
Thanks!
