Configuring NTP

Guys,

I have an ESXi 5 server in a home lab enviroment and I'm trying to configure NTP.  I configured the host to use public NTP servers from pool.ntp.org however the time is not synching with the NTP server.  I have verified that the host has internet connectivity.

Does anyone know why its not working?

Or could someone suggest an easy way of setting up a NTP server in mh home network?

Regards.

Maximum correction time for NTP is 15 minutes, set your ESX time in that range of the NTP server. Restart the NTP service this should sink the time. If not then you can look at this KB http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1005092

Also make sure your router's firewall isn't blocking port 123 UDP. That stumped me at home once.
