Configuring HP SIM with ESXi 4.1

I am running ESXi 4.1 with HP SIM 6.2 I have installed the HP Offline Bundle, I've attached a screenshot showing this after I checked from vMA. I was following this guys post to set things up.

http://communities.vmware.com/message/1590665

Later on he lists these as steps:

1) Log into Insight Manager

2) Go to Options -> Events -> Subscribe to WBEM Events

3) Verify your server is in the Targets list (Click Add Target if necessary).

4) Click Next and finish the wizard to activate these events.

5) Reboot the ESXi Server to have this take effect.

I receive this error when I try to do this:

Create Subscriptions for:

ESXSERVERNAME

FAILED to create indication subscription.

Cause: Subscriptions are not supported

Recommended Action: Install the HP WBEM providers

Any suggestions? Thanks again.

Have you applied the NMI drivers with Update Manager?

No I just imported that patch into the respository minutes before I posted this. My understanding is that this has nothing to do with WBEM. Am I incorrect in this assumption?

Has the server been fully discovered by SIM? Make sure WBEM is a discovered protocol on the managed node (Systems Page > Product Description table > Management Protocols).

Yes it has, I've attached a screenshot of that.

I never have really used the HP Offline Bundle. I wonder if it would work any better if you use the native HP ESXi 4.1 to load up the server. A lot of work to re-do at this point I know.

The branded HP ESXi install is the exact same thing as installing ESXi and then the offline bundle. There is nothing different. Although, it is worth a shot.

I installed the NMI because I had to anyways which didn't make a difference. Yeah I don't want to reload. I'm going to open a case with HP probably unless anyone else has any thoughts.

Hi, did you ever get it fixed? I'm having similar problem. SIM 6.3 + ESX 4.1. Here's what I got:

FAILED to create indication subscription.

Cause: Subscription infrastructure is not present or corrupted

Recommended Action: Update or reinstall the HP WBEM providers
