Cloning Between Datacenters fails

We have two datacenters one in New Jersey and one in South Carolina. All of the hosts in New Jersey run ESX 4.1, and all of the Hosts in South Carolina run ESXi 4.1 update 2. We cannot cold clone between the two datacenters, but the interesting thing is, if we install a host with ESX 4.1 in South Carolina we can clone between the two datacenters. All of the hosts connect through the nexus 1000v switches.

I guess my question is what has changed between the two revisions that would break specifically cloning?

Rusty,

I am not sure what change could be causing this.  Do you have any error messages/logs that you could provide?

The clone acts like it is going to start and just sits there in progress eventually timing out due to host connectivity. I will try it again today and produce a log.
