Any checklist, best practices guide, or howto will really come down to something that meets your corporate needs. It will need to include your security requirements, policies, procedures, personnel capabilities, operating systems, applications, DR needs, etc. and will be unique to your organization. I would dust off any current documentation you have and make this a corporate initiative to develop your new checklist. Involve as many parts of the organization as you can.
