Check available slote in a cluster

Hi,

I am running a HA/DRS cluster of 4/5 ESX servers running on ESX 4.1 and vCenter 4.1. My requirement is to gernerate periodict report (like monthly) which will state about available slot for new VMs to be provisiioned, based on current and historical utilization of resource. Could anyone kindly let me know if this can be achieved by any scripts or free tools? I would like to do this in a scheduled manner rather than manual intervention.

Are you licensed for vSphere with Operations Manager?  If you are licensed you should be able to deploy vCOPS to monitor your 4.1 environment and provide some capacity planning and what-if scenarios:

Yes... but I don't have the license for VCOPS. Anyway, achieved the goal through a script.. Working good.
