Cheap pass-thru nVidia card? (for OpenCL)

I am looking for a reasonably cheap nVidia video card (ca. 100 euro) that I can set pass-thru to a VM (so I can use its OpenCL capabilities for rendering). The ESXi compatibility list is, as usual, totally useless.

Seriously, I know answering question isn't this forum's strong suit, but I could really use some advice on this. Thx.

This doesn't really answer your question, but yes. You are right, there is no HCL for VMDirectPath I/O devices and I believe has never been. The best you can get is server compatibility check against VMDirectPath I/O feature. It's under Systems / Server section in the Features list.

NVidia forces users to stick with pro-series GPUs (afaik NVidia did some tweaks in drivers so that consumer-GPUs do not work for pass-through). There are some Quaddro-cards close to 100€ (i.e. K420), but do not expect too much performance (~300/12gflops single/double)...
