Cannot upgrade ESXi 6.7U3 to 7.0.3 U3f using vCLM. Cannot execute upgrade script on host.

I am unable to Cannot upgrade ESXi 6.7U3 to 7.0.3 U3f using vCLM. Getting the error cannot execute upgrade script on host. I've checked the vua.log and found one error - failed to obtain adapter info. I've checked KB76555 and KB85982 but they don't seem to apply.  I am at a dark site and cannot upload logs.

Do you already tried a CLI upgrade?

  1. execute esxcli command:
    esxcli software sources profile list -d /vmfs/volumes/<datastore path>/VMware-ESXi-<version>-depot.zip
  2. Execute esxcli command:
    esxcli software profile update -p <ESXi profile name> -d /vmfs/volumes/<datastore path>/VMware-ESXi-<version>-depot.zip
