Hey guys,
I'm running a standalone ESXi 5.5 with latest updates. Since 2 month I've the problem I can not install any Debain or Ubuntu anymore. Installed ones still running fine.
Its always getting stuck after the network settings (see screenshots).
After removing the network card the system install fine but gets stuck at boot with "SMBus base address uninitialized - upgrade BIOS or use force_addr=0xaddr"
Ubuntu installs even with network card but also dies with "SMBus base address uninitialized - upgrade BIOS or use force_addr=0xaddr"
Trying to install CoreOS (Docker) claims /dev/sda is no block device or not writeable.
I tried changing storage adapter or the network card with out a positive result.
Any ideas?
