This has been happening since at least Saturday, and others have reported this as well (in the regular Hypervisor forums).

Neither the "manually download" nor the "Download Manager" links do anything.
I've tried 6 different computers (Windows XP and Windows 7 Home and Windows 7 Enterprise), 4 different web browsers (IE10, IE11, Firefox, chrome), and 3 different ISP (Verizon FIOS, Road Runner, and whoever supplies our Corporate LAN--AT&T or something).
I'm not sure VMware is even aware that there's an issue.
Had the same problem, I use PiHole, disabling that made the download button work
The fastest way i found to overcome this was to dig into my firefox inspector then over the event javascript /bubbling you will find the direct link that will work
This worked for me!
I right clicked the manual download button, inspect source, clicked on event and then copied the link, pasted that in a new tab which gave me some JSON text, but then clicked on the link there and it started downloading.
This.
5 years later and VMware still can't manage to make download links work in HTML.
Got it to work with the link in the HTML source.
Yes, temporarily disabling pi-hole worked for me too.
Disable Ad blocker works too.
Been trying for the last two days. Tried the find direct link from page source and inspect element too, but the disabling of ad blocker(uBlock Origin in my case) worked like a charm. Manually download worked then. 😇
p.s.: also the only reason I logged onto the community site of vmware 😛
👍
Thank you. Your suggested method worked for me also!
This is literally still happening.
yes still happening. After Disable pfblocker on pfsense work and i can downlaod now ..
This worked for me, thanks
