Cannot do Storage Vmotion of an VM

Hi All,

I cannot do a storage vMotion of an Powered ON VM to different Datastore, it is reporting error (VMware Tools installation is in progress on this Virtual Machine. Virtual DVD/CDROM devices can't be edited or removed while tools is being installed).

The problem is that either i cannot reboot nor shutdown this VM it is very critical server, any input to remove the error....How abt editing the vmx file and removing the CD-ROM line over there will it help?

I found the answer....

Ended the VMware tools installer from VM console.

Console---->Guest---->End VMware tools installer.
