I am trying to clean and get rid of unneeded files.
Had an isolation reponse a few weeks ago. everything came up except one VM. I believe the message was that the file was locked. No problem. I renamed the VM folder in the datastore to server_old, and copied a backup into the data store. I was able to remove the vm from inventory and bring it back in from the recovered vm files. The VM came up just fine.
Now I want to get rid of the old files in the server_old folder. I deleted most of the files, but cannot delete the nvram, vmdk, or vmx files. These are not being used by a VM, but I suspect they may still be locked.
My environment is : ESXi 4 Update 1 and the datastore is an NFS datastore
How do I get rid of these?
Thanks!
I got busy doing other stuff, but finally go back to this.
This did the trick!
Thanks!!
