Hi,
We have Vsphere 6. with ESXI 6.0 server.
I wanted to create a new virtual machine and it failed with this error
A specified parameter was not correct: configSpec.memoryMB
com.vmware.vise.core.model.NumberDataObject cannot be cast to java.lang.Integer
I tried to create a vm with different settings and I did an attempt to create a vm with the default settings.
I thought maybe it is a Java issue, so I tried the same with Chrome, Safari (MAC) and Internet Explorer 11 (WIN10). It is always the same issue, so I can rule out a browser problem. Do I connect directly to the host using VMware host client web I was able to create the virtual machine and I also see the VM in the Vsphere Webclient. However trying to edit the vm settings returns error too.
As far as I know I was able to create VM in the past and I did not recently upgrade Vcenter Server.
Any hint are highly appreciated!
Hi fafa24,
Sorry dumb question time but could you or have you tried with the vSphere client (legacy dotNet one)? Does this allow you to create a VM?
Also could you attach the vSphere Webclient logs - should be under %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\VMWare\vCenterServer\logs\vsphere-client
Kind regards.
No with this one I did not try it. Worth a try. Will do it
Excellent - let us know what the outcome is
