Cannot connect to vSphere Web Client

Just recently built out a new ESXi 6 server and connecting to it via the Windows vSphere client works without an issue, however trying to connect to the web client fails.

I'm using the following to connect and I get the normal "This page can't be found" browser error.

https://<Server_IP>:9443/vsphere-client

Is there something specific that I have to do to enable this client? Is this a license issue?

Thanks!

To be able to use vSphere Web Client you will need to install vCenter Server and vCenter related components that include the vSphere Web Client... and take in mind that vCenter server is not free and to manage your vSphere hosts through the vSphere Web Client your hosts must be licensed and added to vCenter.

To manage the host using web client you need to install and configure Vcenter server , and its component called web client ,

than you be able to manage all of your host from web client

If it's a single host, there is no web client. The vCenter Web Client is a feature of vCenter.

You can use either a Windows-based vCenter or the pre-packaged virtual appliance. The appliance comes with the web client as standard however the Windows-based one will need to be installed manually.

You get a 60 day trial using either version.
