I have 1 ESXi host that i cannot connect to the iDRAC, unsure what to do at this point.
Dell r510
iDRAC 6
I can ping the iDrac IP address. There is no IP conflict with another device.
When I try to connect to the IP, IE/Chrome does not load. I have another Dell r510 running server 2008 R2. iDrac is setup exactly the same (except different IP), and it works no problem.
Is there something about VMware as the OS causing the iDrac not to connect?
Did you try to clear your browser history/cache and SSL certs? This sometimes fixes the problem.
ESXi wont affect the functionality of the iDRAC.
Try resetting the iDRAC completely by pulling powercable of the server.
Tried resetting browsers, no help.
I reset the power last night when I checked the IP settings. It has production data on the host so I can't power down during the day.
Did you try a reset via the interface on boot?
Are you getting any messages when trying to access the DRAC? Have you checked the logs. Here is documentation on doing that.

How is this helpful? If I can't connect to the device how am I going to get the logs off it?
I assume that is the real iDRAC (not the Express edition).
Have you tried to change the IP? (this at least reset the IP stack).
I think it is the express edition, although it works just fine in my other Dell server?
Last night I did try changing the IP, but no change in working or not.
So is not the dedicated NIC?
Is shared with normal NIC?
it is not a dedicated nic.
I'm not sure that the Express version could work with ESXi. I've only tested the one with dedicated NIC.
You can try to contact Dell support to see if is supported.
