Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password

hi,

I installed a new server esxi 6.0 free. Installation is successful but when I try to connect to the VMware vSphere client keeps giving me this error:

Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password

Username and password are correct

Anybody can help me?

Only a guess. Did you enter a password with special characters without selecting the required keyboard layout (i.e. leaving it at US/English)?

Are you able to login to the DCUI (console)?

ops You were right ... I installed 5 versions of esxi and read tons of procedures thx a lot
