Cannot access ESXi server

It appears that my ESX server has crashed

I can not longer use the VClient

I can not get on the server using the Console

I can ping the server

The F2 TSM gave me a weird prompt

This has been running for 3 days - new install

The console displays a continuous message of

sd 0.0.0.0 still retrying after 360s

Thoughts or ideas

It appears that the ESXi host has lost connection to some storage device, if possible run a complete hardware diags to ensure that the hardware connected is fine.

What version of ESX/ESXi is installed. You have mentioned about using TSM so I presume its ESXi you can try a repair install if its an issue with ESXi.

I am running ESX 4.1 build 260245, not ESXi

Had to power off the server in order to force a restart off the CD

I ran diagnostics on the HW and all passed

I did a esxcfg-boot --rebuild and restarted the machine

Do not know if the original issue.
