Isn't 7-zip a windows utility? Either way it is not recommended to install software into the service console of ESX -

I did it as extension of backup script described on forum...

working very well, have only 1 problem [did not detect reasons yet] if I start 3 instances in the same time to pack 3 different virtual machines two of the instance go out.

If I start only 2 everything is fine.

BTW, do you know why starting several instances of 7zip in the same time cause some of them not working ?

Is it a problem of 7zip of ESXI cause some restrictions in case of too high kernel overload (compressing cause ESXI very overloaded) ?

Is there any parametrization in ESXI to manage this restrictions ?
