Do you have any firewalls or other between your vSphere Client and the ESXi host?
Have the console worked before for this or any other VM on the host?
Is the VM already installed? If so, could you attach by RDP or other remote tool directly to the VM?
There is an older VMware KB article describing your issue, it seems to be related to missing .NET framework code, however it is for older ESX/ESXi versions. Could be worth a look anyway:

Check the below links and see if it solves the problem

Hi,
Can you uninstall vSphere client from windows 7 machine and also make sure to delete Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 redistributable from programs and features. May be a restart is required .
Now download the client from the ESXi host webconsole. and install it on your machine.
Hope this fixes .
Thanks
SA
I already try.
But I still got the same error message.
Hi,

Are you a local admin for your win7 box?
Can you right click and run as admin for the vsphere client then try it.
My .Net framework version is 4.0.
I try to uninstall and install .NET4.0 and after that I uninstall and reinstall VMware vSphere Client again > But I still have same error.
So I try to use .NET 3.5 > But can't use too
And for what concern : Run as Administrator
I already try as youe suggsion. But it have same error message too.
Today I try 2 senario again
1.Senario
- Uninstall VMclient
- Uninstall .Net 4.0
- Restart
- Insall .Net 3.5.1
- Install VMclient
But I still got the same problem (please refer error from '.Net3.5errorReport_25550709-202523.zip')
2 Senario

- Uninstall VMclient
- Install VMclient
- Repair Visual J
But I still got the same problem (please refer error from '.NET4.0 errorReport_25550709-210801.zip')
Has anyone found a solution to this? I've been struggling with it for days now. I have Windows 7 64 client that has been working fine with VSphere client and server 4.1. I recently built a server running 5.0 and have seen the exception error every time I try to connect to a VM in the console. My 4.1 client and server still work fine. I've uninstalled .net, both clients and every other suggestion I could find to no avail. I've tried the client on other Windows 7 machines on my network and the results are the same. I did have luck connecting with a relatively new Windows 7 laptop that has not yet been joined to the Windows domain, so perhaps the answer is in there somewhere but I'm not sure where to start.
Hi,
I'm running Windows 8 Enterprise and have the same issue. I've found ESXi 5 and IE 10 are not completely compatable yet. It appears to be an IE 10 plug-in.
By chance, I tried VMware Workstation and can access the console of each vm.
I have not looked lately to see if there is an update to ESXi 5, but would think if there is an update, that will fix the issue. At the time I upgraded to Win 8 Ent, ESXi 5 had only been out a few weeks.
I'll check and see if there is an update and try it out and get back to this post.
My pc has the latest .NET and all Windows updates to date. Only my ESXi 5 Essentials and Standard servers have the issue, we have servers with ESXi 4 Enterprise, ESXi 4.1 Standard and 5 Standard and Essentials.

Looks like this is available in the patching area of site.
