leiw324, are you seeing this after a windows update? i've seen this right after an update of Internet explorer, it gets corrupted. if thats the case just remove it and install IE again, go to start>run and enter this %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe

hi, is your VM a windows xp 64 bits? or 32 bits? , if you are trying to install vCenter 4.1 you need a 64 bits vm.

yes it changed in version 4.1 , now you need a 64 bit capable vm or physical machine, take a look at the setup guide:

After Windows update Windows 2003 R2 64bits or Windows XP Pro SP2 64bits has following error:
The procdure entry RegRestoreAllW could not be located in the Dynamic link library ADVPACK.dll.
After press OK button and run Windows Update again, the following error appear:
The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context.
So it not allow to open Windows Update page ....
Please help !
