Can't create iSCSI target from FreeNas

Hello,

I cannot create iSCSI targets from FreeNas.  I was able to on the ESXi 4.0 but not version 5.1.  I am able to see the targets on the Static Discovery tab after I entered the IP address on the Dynamic Discovery tab.

Any ideas?

Here is the error log:

Login to iSCSI target XXXXX on vmhba37 @ vmk0 failed.  The iSCSI initiator could not establish a network connection to the target.

Versions:

FreeNAS 0.7.1 (Shere):

Thanks,

TT

Try a higher version of FreeNas ?

I have a test ESXi 5.1 working with FreeNas 9.1

Check the authentication method .If it is CHAP ,you need the user and passwd.

Or maybe the issue of compatibility,so you can try higher version FreeNAS or other product such as iStorage Server.

I think the new version of FreeNAS should work.  I am jut not ready to upgrade.  I went ahead and use NFS instead.
