Can't create New Datastore on a logical drive (local storage and greyed out)

Hey Guys,

I'll be starting my VCP training next year, so i'm migrating my home server from bare metal to hypervisor.

I already have some basic VMware knowledge, however i'm given the opportunity to specialise so i'm really excited to start!

So my home server (HP DL380 G8) has 8 disks.

2x SSD Raid 0

2x HDD Raid 1

4x HDD Raid 10

When creating the datastores with my first 2 raid config's, i'm having no trouble at all.

However i cant sees to create a datastore on my raid 10 config.

Although the status in my raid controller indicates that it's fine and also in the devices overview (see screen).

I'm running ESXi 6.5.0 Update 1 (Build 5969303)

Any ideas? Smiley Sad

I figured it out.

I already had the device added as RDM to the VM. :smileysilly:
