Note: Discussion successfully moved from VMware vCenter™ Server to VMware ESXi 5
There is some info about this in http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2003638 - VMware Converter could also be used to create a new version of the VM, but there is probably a better/easier way than that.
can you attach the vmware.logs from that VM ?
or grep the vmware.logs for this string: "AIOMgr_Open failed. Type 3"
I think you will find it - if my hunch is correct I can tell you what to do but you will not like it
thanks for all you guy response and sorry for late reply.
This is log that you asking for.
I try to convert this machine it'll error but can open the cloned VM but vCenter service and some service can't start (I think it's corrupt)
when it's error. vCenter VM show me this message.
The redolog of disk-000000xx.vmdk has been detected to be corrupt. The virtual machine needs to be powered off. If the problem still persists, you need to discard the redolog .
everytime I try to convert this VM.
and about that you suggest me to search for "AIOMgr_Open failed. Type 3" I didn't see anything.
any advices ?
anyone ?
