Can one pull a VM deployed on an ESXi server back into WorkStation?

I had set up a new VM using VM WorkStation and then, in order to run it faster on an ESXi 5.0 server I converted it into the required .ovf format and deployed it there. Now I am going on a trip and would like to continue working with that VM on my laptop. Is it possible to pull a VM off an ESXi server and back into a format that I can use, to run it on VMware WorkStation again?

Yes - just reverse the process export it out of the ESXi environment as an OVF and import back into workstation -
