Hi Folks
when trying to add an additional HD via Vsphere Client i get an License error:
Not enough licenses etc...
xxx com.vmware.vim.license.error

In ESXi 4 Free you cannot " hot" add a disk.
In ESXi 3.5 this was a "free" option but in 4 you have to pay for the hot plugging virtual hardware functionality
You have to shutdown the VM first and then add the disk.

The problem was the hot plug issue.
When the machine was down i could add the additional disk without problems.
"It´s not a bug, it´s one feature less in ESXi 4"
