Can i create Virtual Server with more then 1 Static/Real IP ?

Hello dear community.

I am using ESXi 6.0 and i have tried to create new Virtual Server with 2 nics so this server will be reachable from 2 static IP addresses but at this moment i can't.

Can i create a Virtual Server with more then 1 IP and how ?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can create VMs with multiple virtual network adapters and multiple IP addresses. However, you need to configure the virtual as well as the physical network properly in order for the VM to be able to be accessible.

If you are having trouble, please provide some details about your configuration.

I have 2 vSwithcs.

Can i create Virtual Server on 1 vSwitch with 2 or more IP addresses. Do i have to create different Vritaul Machine Port groups ?

Or how ?

I do not know how to configure server to make it with 2 IPs.

The easiest way is to add an additional network adapter to the virtual machine, and connect this to the appropriate port group. Depending on your network configuration - i.e. how the ESXi host is connected to the physical network - this can be done by either using a single vSwitch and with port groups (with VLAN tagging in place), or using two vSwitches connected to untagged physical switch ports.

When i create a new Virtual Machine Port Group and assign a unique ID i can not connect to the internet via this group.
Take a look at this:

Untitled.png

With this configuration i can not connect to internet via Vivacom30 - 1AD / 2AD. Only on them i have assigned any VLAN ids.
The others do not have any VLAN ids and i can connect to the internet with no problems.

Can you help me out with this ?
