Can i RDP a Wyse client to a windows vm on my ESXi 5.0 server or do i have to use VMware View to connect it to the virtual machine

I have a bunch of Windows 7 vm on my vmware vsphere ESXi 5.0 server that i would like to connect to using Dell Wyse T10 Client. Can i simply RDP from the wyse client into the VM's (i.e if the client would even allow me to RDP) or do i have to invest in VMware View Licenses to be able to RDP from the thin Clients to the VM's. I would like to purchase the Wyse Clients provided that i can RDP into the windows vm's without purchasing VMware View Licenses.

I think it really does not make sense investing in thin clients if i have to buy licenses for VMware view as then i can simply buy 10 desktops than to invest in 10 Thin clients and a license for VMware View. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

For just RDP you do not need View licenses since you will be using RDP client, not the View client.

There is no any requirement of view license for using RDP. As its free from Windows. We are using wyse client in our organization too and people use the RDP to access the other vms inside the Wyse client too..

100% tested scenario. you can go on.

All the best,
