Can VMware support SSD's for data stores?

I wanted to know if the motherboard is supported, can vmware esx support SSD drives? If so, does it matter which one?

I think you misunderstood my question.

That webpage only gives me a list of specific servers. I want to know about specific hard ware.

Does VMware support SSD drives? If so, does it matter which one?

And do they support TRIM with ssd's?

yes it support SSD as it's connected via the raid controller. it's important to ensure the raid controller or the SAN storage is in the HCL. as for trim i could not find any answer as of today.

Kepp in mind TRIM does not work in a RAID configuration however most if not all newer SSD drives have some form of garbage collection which helps out to a degree.
