Can SQL 2000 on Windows 2003, which is physical machine, move to vSphere6(P2V) using latest Converter?

Hi all

I am considering P2V, which is SQL 2000 on Windows 2003, in vSphere 6 environment. Does lastes converter support it?

If it is not, how I can do it? Using old converter? I havent done it before P2V. Your advisory will help me a lot.

it seems to work (tested with 6.1.1)

I would suggest to stop all the sql processes before converting.

You can do just as christian says, but since its an SQL server, I recommend you do a full shutdown and do a Cold Conversion. This way you Ensure the integrity of the database. So point the converter to the files and do a cold migration.
