Hi @nbgiridar ,
If you have an updated compatible driver from HP for ESXi 6.7, you can update the driver via command line
Installing async drivers in ESXi 5.x/6.x/7.x using esxcli
Hope that helps
Have you provided the necessary checks from the HP official site?
thank you, HP do have an update driver
HP - smartpqi-1.0.4.3008-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922.x86_64.vib
Installed - 1.0.1.553-10vmw.670.0.0.8169922
but i noticed that there is a difference, HP one says OEM and the existing one says vmw
please advise
@CengiizYILMAZ thank you
Hi @nbgiridar ,
vmw is the inbox driver that is loaded along with ESXi image and the OEM driver is provided by hardware vendor. In this case, hardware vendor is HP.
You can use inbox driver or OEM as long as they are compatible with the hardware(HPSA). Please refer the KB article shared earlier to install the driver using esxcli
@ashilkrishnan thank you
