Can I run Hyper-V ontop of Vsphere 4.1 ?

For a Training IIS MS brings a Hyper-V and 2 VMs inhouse.

We want to run the hyper-v ontop of Vsphere 4.1.

Is this possible.

I know that we need newest Server HArdware with Nehalem-EX / EP or AMD Magny Coures.

Well, you can run vSphere on top of vSphere and its support for test and dev.

I doubt MS are going to support Hyper-V on vSphere but nonetheless i suspect it would work.  Never seen it done though.

As far as I recall, no VT extensions will be exposed to guest OS' running on top of ESX.. The VT extensions are required by Hyper-V.

Actually is not possible to virtualize Hyper-V or Xen over vSphere (or other virtualization layer).

As written you can have nesterd vSphere, but with some limitations.

Well, you can run vpshere 4.1 as a Virtual Machine on a vsphere 4.1 but again you need to re-configure the vsphere VM.

Similarly you can run Hyper-V on top of vsphere 4.1 but it would be just another Virtual machine running on a host and as stated above, i doubt it can provide all of the virtualization features

anyway, please have a look at this. It might help you in someway.
