Can I mix 10gb and 1gb vnics on same switch?

Quick question.  Can I have a 10gb vnic and a 1gb vnic on the same management network switch, with the 10gb set as active and the 1gb as standby?  I am running an HA cluster on vSphere 5.5u2.

Yes, you can add vmnics with different speeds to the same vSwitch without issues (except you want to use channeling).

This should work like already stated, but in a recent thread, the user found that mixing 10Gb and 1Gb on the same port group used by vMotion you can't get 8 simultaneous vMotion, even with 1Gb NIC on Stand By: 8 Concurrent vMotions not working over 10GbE
