Can I have 2 different iSCSI devices on 2 different VLANS on the same host?

I have hosts connected via iSCSI to storage device A on VLAN A with the software initiator.  We just bought new iSCSI device B and put it on VLAN B.  Can I connect the same host to both?  I each host to see both so I can just storage vmotion the VMs to the new storage and shut off the old storage.

Any help anyone could provide would be .... uh ... helpful

Hi,

You can certainly do this. Can you tell me how you've configured your storage NICs?

The ideal configuration would be the following :

1. NIC A on VLAN A -> VMKERNEL -> IP address on VLAN A

2. NIC B on VLAN B -> VMKERNEL -> IP address on VLAN B

If you have more NICs you can accommodate that into the model above. That will get you online with both SANs.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.
