Can I authenticate my ESXi host OS to a Domain Controller is a hosted Guest machines

Hi,

I have a lab setup running ESXi 7.0.3 which is hosting several Win10 clients, and a single Win Server 2019 machine promoted to Domain Controller.

I am trying to set up Active Directory authentication from the ESXi host to the DC but not getting much success.

I wonder if this is something not allowed, the Host authenticating to a DC that is one of the hosted Guest OS VM's?

It is allowed but honestly this is a bad idea from a security perspective.  Keep VMware as far away from AD as you can. Isolate it even in a different vLan.  If you ever get hacked , you'll thank me later

As your post needs moving to the area for ESXi, I have reported it to the moderators.
