CPU Usage high on Terminal server using Esxi5 host server

Done P2V for a terminal server 2000 on Esxi5. The problem is its showing high CPU usage when 4 or 5 users are logged in and then it freezes.

Already given maximum processor, but it is still an issue.host server got  2 processor with 12 cores and got only 1 terminal server as guest.

Please help...

Welcome to the community,

Two things you got to look at.

1. Change the virtual machine monitoring mode.

1. Change the HAL from multiprocessor to uniprocessor for single vCPU VMs, since it has 2 processor with 12 core, check if the HAL is set to multiprocessor. Also with just 1 vCPU your VM will give the expected performance, since the load on the server is going to be very less 4 to 5 users..
