CD rom Mount commands on esx4

I need some advise on troubleshooting cd rom issues on an esx4 server.   I have a remote esx4 server where I have been told my local it support person they have added a dvdrom in to the esx server.  Its an esxi4.1 server to do a fresh install.   But when I reboot the server it does not reboot to CD to do the install.

So on the esx 4 console I want to check if the cd is conncted and then mount the cd and browse the contents of the cd, to confirm the cd is working and there is a cd rom inserted.

Can anyone please advise the cd rom commands to mount and test on a esx 4 console.

Thanks

have you set your boot option to CDROM instead of HDD? or CDROM is higher in the boot order than HDD ..

if this is fine, then i would just make sure the MD5 value of the downloaded ISO is identical shown in the download page, and then just burn from ISO and you should be fine ..
