This is a default install of ESXi 5.0.0.0, Update 1, VMKernel 623860 from the latest ISO download.
Installed on a PowerEdge 2950, first boot after using installer CD.
logon as root
arrow down to "View Support Information"
On the right side it says Page (1/2)
Press PageDown key
On the right side it is blank
The ESXi console is now locked up, does not respond to any keypresses.
I thought I was going to be forced to power cycle the server to regain control, but it turns out that is not necessary.
The solution is to leave the system alone, and it automatically logs out and goes back to the info screen. From this point, control is restored and the console works normally.... unless you try viewing page 2 of the support information again, which again locks up the console....
