Brocade 825

We have installed a Brocade 825 HBA into a Dell PowerEdge 2900 and installed ESXi 5.0, the card was not picked up on installation.

We have used the import tool from the Update Manager within VC and created a seperate baseline and have remediated the server successfully, but the card has still not been picked up.

We have used drivers

brocade-esx-5.0.0-bfaConfig-3.0.0.0-offline_bundle-463306 (these would not install into the update manager)

and

BCD-bfa-3.0.0.0-00000-offline_bundle-465342 (these did install into the update manager but the card failed to initialise)

Can anyone offer any assistance?

We're in exactly the same boat - same card, same ESXi revision, card not detected.

Did you solve this or does anyone else have any suggestions???

Hey Guys,

Same issue here.  Apparently Update Manager does NOT install these Drivers.  I tried it and no go.  You have to use the Tar.gz download and CLI into the host to unzip and then run the .sh file.

I don't know why this is but I want to know.

How to install a tar.gz file:

1. From command line
   
2. Tar zxvf %nameoffile%.tar.gz
   
3. ./%nameoffile%.sh
