Both 1Gbit and 10 Gbit, avoid throttle ?

Having a mix og 1 GB adapters and 10 GB adapters seems to cap NBD traffic even on the 10 Gbit adapter. How do i avoid this ? At current i'm getting 40MB a second but with my setup i should be much more closer to teoretic max.

Hi

Welcome to the communities.

Set transmission mode auto so that it will negotiate itself.

we had this and discovered if you set the 1GB NIC to 100/MB Full Duplex (forced) and use 10GB NIC to Auto, it was fine.  some backups try to negotiate a duplex speed, but 10GB is ONLY full duplex so it doesn't cause a problem, only on 1GB NIC

Welcome yourself ...

i see that maybe i could have been a little more accurate.

i have 1 GB adapters and 10 GB adapters in the same ESXi host and NBD traffic from a Veeam Windows host via the 10 GB network is capped at 1 gbit
