Blue Screen after P2V

I am trying to P2V a server using the Import Machine in vSphere Client 4.1 and when I power on the virtual machine for the first time it blue screens. (attached screen shot).  I have tried starting in SAFE mode, but that won't even work.  It just goes in a circle of the Windows 2003 splash screen, then the blue screen, then the server restarts.

Server specs:

Dell Blade PowerEdge 1955

Windows 2003 Enterprise server SP2

Any ideas?  If more info is needed, let me know.

thanks

Ryan

you probably did not change from IDE to SCSI.  You have options.  First, you could do the conversion again and change the controller (I believe in step 3 of the conversion process) to SCSI.  Second, change it manually, http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1016192.

If the controller is aready correct, the it could really be a filesystem problem.

In this case run in recovery mode and perform a manual check disk.
